Meet Your Providers
Huong (Kimmie) Iodice, Founder & Provider
My name is Huong Iodice, though many of my colleagues, friends, DNP PMHNP and PA students, and patients know me as Kimmie. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC, FPA, APN) with full practice authority in Chicago, Illinois, and I am deeply committed to empowering others through compassionate and effective mental health care.
I earned my PMHNP degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and my undergraduate nursing degree from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California, two institutions that are consistently recognized among the top nursing programs in the nation. These academic experiences laid the foundation for my lifelong dedication to providing exceptional care and staying at the forefront of medical and psychiatric advancements.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of mentoring many DNP PMHNP students, many of whom were referred to me by Rush University College of Nursing, a highly respected institution in the field. It has been incredibly fulfilling to be part of the next generation of providers. Additionally, I am honored to serve as a clinical preceptor for Physician Assistant students at the College of Health Sciences at Rush University, where I strive to inspire and support the growth of aspiring healthcare professionals.
Each of these experiences has shaped my approach to care, which is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. It is a privilege to guide others, both patients and students alike, on their journeys to health and well-being.
As the founder of YOU Psychiatry Clinic, I want to share the inspiration behind the name of our clinic. My approach to care is rooted in a deep belief: healing begins by treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. I created this clinic with a mission to provide personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that are as unique as you are. Nothing brings me more fulfillment than witnessing the transformation and progress of my patients as they achieve their treatment goals. I am committed to working alongside you, not just as a provider but as a partner, to help you become the best version of yourself.
Throughout my career, I have been privileged to work in two large healthcare systems in Chicago and the surrounding Chicagoland area, where I have treated patients with complex, chronic medical and psychiatric conditions. Before that, I served as a clinical registered nurse in Southern California, caring for individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, strokes, and heart attacks. This diverse experience has shaped my unwavering commitment to continual learning and growth. I attend leading education conferences, particularly those hosted by institutions such as Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, to ensure that I am always on the cutting edge of medical and psychiatric knowledge. My passions for neuroscience and psychopharmacology drive me to stay at the forefront of advancements in science, so I can offer you the highest standard of care.
Outside of my professional life, I am deeply grateful for the time I spend with my family and the opportunity to explore the rich music, art, and cultural scenes in both Chicago and Los Angeles.
Now that you’ve learned a bit about me, I would love to hear your story. Together, we will create a treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs, and we will navigate this journey side by side—step by step. I am here to support you, guide you, and empower you to achieve lasting wellness and reach your full potential.
